Moving Home To Work

I found a nice new home for this blog. It's at work's Mac mini webserver, running WordPress. Renovation is not all done yet, but it's good enough to move into. All previous entries from here have been moved there. I've never been a fan of moving around too much. So hopefully this blog will be happy in its new home. Blogger has certainly served it well though.

I'm just posting this in case anyone has subscribed and all of a sudden think, "Why's everything stopped?"

Spock Misses The Point's new address is:

See you there for the house warming!

Designed for Living

10 things Milton Glaser has learned. I'm sure some of these are already mottos for a lot of you. It's true for me anyway. Nonetheless, it's good to be reminded, and it's always reassuring to know other people who see value in similar approaches.

Like the Gaping Void entry I blogged previously, these 10 things can be applied to more than just design.

This is definitely Linkolicous.

Bill O'Reilly is a knob Part Two

Hahaha!!! I just googled "Bill O'Reilly is a knob" and found another blog entry at GNN (Guerilla News Network) of the same title. Very funny. Knob knob knob.

Knob.

Too Far For Fur

I eat meat and I eat eggs (the packet says it's free range, but who really knows). I probably wear sweat shop products too. However, for some reason reading this article about fetal skins being used for fashion fur seems like it's going a bit too far for my taste. Up to a handful of foetus are killed. The mother (ewe) is slaughtered at her last pregnancy, with the foetus inside. This fur is still being used today.

I'll spare you the gruesome details here. Read more about it at Respect For Animals. A word of warning. Some of it is not easy reading.

Bill O'Reilly is a knob

Found this article by Bill O'Reilly on the Stay Free! blog. Sure, Bill should enjoy his freedom of speech, regardless of how much sense he makes. However, others should also have the freedom of speech in their reaction to the column and link to it to allow their readers to make up their own minds.

The article speaks for itself I think. You already know what I think about it. Now you read it and form your own opinion. Link to it to spread the word if you like.
